Greyhounds abound

Last week I told you about a unique meet and greet opportunity when the Bangor Roller Derby Girls joined Maine Greyhound Placement Service at For Dogs Boutique in Holden.

The girls helped raise $85 for the non-profit, but also raised awareness for the dogs and the organization.

A meet and greet is an opportunity for the public to meet and touch the dogs, talk with owners about what it’s REALLY like to adopt and what to expect, and to raise some money to offset the costs associated with the rescue.

There’s usually a lot of snuggling with these amazing dogs (see below)… even little Italian greyhound Spyro (center) who stole the show from his greyhound siblings Moonstone and Bella!
